Perfect Pairings brings together Napa and Sonoma County wineries, chefs, local artisan food producers, and Rustic Bakery to celebrate the people, places, and ingredients that make Northern California Wine Country so distinctive. This special event occurs in September in celebration of California Wine Month.
Chefs from six wineries have created an original bite featuring Rustic Bakery thoughtfully paired with a favorite wine and inspired by the local and artisan ingredients from the region.

From Napa & Sonoma County
In Wine Country, what grows together often belongs together. Across these Perfect Pairings, chefs looked to the farms, orchards, gardens, and artisan producers around them for inspiration; bringing local cheeses, seasonal fruit, estate-grown ingredients, and handcrafted pantry staples into their creations.
From Sonoma County strawberries and Serres Ranch blueberries to Journeyman Meat Co., Cowgirl Creamery Cheese, Bellwether Farms, Laura Chenel, and ingredients grown just steps from the vineyards themselves, each pairing reflects the character of Napa and Sonoma County and the community of artisans behind it.
That spirit of local collaboration continues with the return of Howdy, Partner! First created by Cowgirl Creamery for Rustic Bakery’s 20th anniversary in 2025, the triple cream, bloomy rind cheese is finished with Chipotle & Cayenne, inspired by our Chipotle & Cayenne Biscuit. Its return celebrates a partnership that began with Rustic Bakery’s very first Sourdough Flatbread shipment to Cowgirl Creamery in 2005.
